By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the Service.

Description of Service

OctoWealth is a personal finance management application that enables users to track financial accounts, monitor spending, create budgets, manage debt, track investments, and plan financial scenarios. The Service aggregates financial information from third-party sources and presents it in a unified interface for informational purposes.

User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration

Maintain and promptly update your account information

Maintain the security of your account credentials

Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information or that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service

Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without written permission

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

Third-Party Services and Content

Financial Data Integration

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Plaid Inc. for financial account connectivity. Your use of such third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services.

Investment Data Disclaimer

Investment and market data displayed in the Service is provided by third-party data providers and may be delayed or inaccurate. This information is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for trading or investment decisions.

Subscription and Payment Terms

OctoWealth is offered as a paid subscription (OctoWealth Premium). We do not run ads in the app and we do not sell your personal financial data. We do not offer a broad, unlimited permanent free tier. New subscribers may start with a 14-day free trial; after the trial, continued access requires a paid plan. Annual billing is the standard offering; a monthly plan is also available (annual prepayment is typically the lower-cost option for a full year of access).

Promotional or “founding” prices may be offered for limited periods or cohorts; those offers, when available, will be shown in the app or at checkout. Prices are subject to change with notice as described below.

Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it before the renewal date.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods except where required by applicable law.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period following notice to you.

Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of OctoWealth and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Your Data: You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and display your data solely to provide the Service to you.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

No Financial Advice

OctoWealth is a financial tracking and organizational tool, not a financial advisor, broker, or investment advisor.

The information, reports, analyses, projections, and simulations provided by the Service are for informational and organizational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any significant financial decisions.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OctoWealth and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD if no payments were made.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OctoWealth and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Advanced Settings → Delete User Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data from our servers. You may also contact support to request account deletion.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email prior to becoming effective. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Delaware, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

General Provisions

Severability

If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall be enforced.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right shall not constitute a waiver of such right.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and OctoWealth.
